RE: Four New Members Join the Hospital Board of Directors

 

 

Smiths Falls, ON: The Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital (the “Hospital”) recently welcomed four new members to the Board of Directors at the October Board meeting.


The Hospital conducted a recruitment search for new members in late summer which resulted in strong interest. The recruitment process saw the selection of Scott Anderson, Rob Dyke, Jamie Church and Steve Gauthier. The new members will each bring their own unique set of skills and expertise to the Hospital Board discussions.

 

“We are thrilled to welcome new members to the Hospital Board of Directors, especially during a time of significant change in the healthcare system. We are eager to have their insights and experiences brought into strategic discussions,” stated Dr. Warren Hollis, Chair.

The four members attended their first Hospital Board of Directors meeting held on Tuesday, October 24 and they subsequently completed their formal orientation on November 3rd, 2023.

Scott Anderson is the Executive Director of Communications, Marketing & Donor Relations at Queen’s University. He brings substantial experience in local and regional community involvement which will offer a unique perspective to the Board.

Jamie Church, the CEO of Ability Members Group, is a dedicated volunteer who has supported numerous health and medical providers associations. Passionate about improving the health and quality of life for people in our community, Jamie is eager to take part in various initiatives that drive this mission forward.

Rob Dyke is the President and Owner of Dyke & Murphy Professional Corporation based in Perth, ON who brings a wealth of financial expertise and knowledge. Additionally, he serves as a Board member with the Valley Heartland Community Futures Development Program. Rob is committed to advocating for the well-being and prosperity of our Hospital and the surrounding communities.

Steve Gauthier is the Business Development Manager with Amazon Web Services. Steve has extensive connections to local healthcare initiatives and regional healthcare. He also brings experience as a former member of the Hospital's Patient & Family Advisory Council.
