Accreditation

Accreditation Canada is a national non-profit independent organization. It conducts extensive hospital reviews using close to 2000 different criteria to measure patient safety and quality of care. The accreditation process is intended to ensure that similar organizations are meeting a shared set of rigorous standards.

In 2022, PSFDH participated in the Accreditation Canada survey.  The rigorous evaluation involved the review of 1948 standards covering all aspects of the hospital organization such as leadership, governance, clinical programs and services, quality and safety.

PSFDH proudly achieved 99.2% and was awarded "Accreditation with Commendation".
