We strive to be the hospital of choice for residents of our catchment area and beyond as we pledge uncompromising standards to those we serve. Our employees take unwavering pride in our facilities and services and dedicate themselves to compassionate support and uncompromising standards. At the same time, we want to personalize, humanize and demystify the healthcare experience for patients and their families while using the latest in healthcare technology.

Complementing our staff is the highly educated and skilled physicians who contribute significantly to our great reputation. These physicians have chosen to partner with us to ensure a commitment of excellence. We are also grateful for the daily support of our volunteers and our auxiliaries.

Compassionate Care

The healthcare landscape is always changing, both on a provincial and local level. And we are changing too. We look forward to adding more high performance medical, nursing, and inter-professional staff to our clinical teams, and enhancing services with capital investments in facility upgrades and new equipment.

A Path Forward

The Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital is consistently evolving to meet the challenges of an ever-changing health care landscape while providing compassionate and high-quality patient and family centred care.

The Board of Directors helps share the strategic direction of the hospital with the engagement of a broad range of stakeholders. The current strategic plan sets out the core priorities and grounds the hospital’s planning on an annual basis.  We have extended the current plan until 2022 and recently the Board embarked on a renewal of the plan. Stay tuned to this website where your input will be sought on the hospital’s key priorities and values.

With our partners: the passionate and committed employees and physicians, volunteers, auxiliaries and foundations and with other health care organizations, the Board of Directors is committed to bringing the best possible care to our communities, now and in the future.
