Patient Satisfaction Surveys

The Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital is committed to excellence in the provision of high quality patient-focused care. In order to meet this commitment, we continuously seek feedback from our patients and their families.

The hospital has contracted the services of the National Research Corporation Canada (NRCC) (formerly NRC Picker Group) for the mailing and collection of patient satisfaction surveys. Surveys are mailed out on a continuous basis to randomly selected patients who either attended the Emergency Department or spend more than one night in hospital.

The NRCC group, based in Markham, Ontario, is the preferred supplier of patient satisfaction surveys to Ontario Hospitals. Therefore the surveys give the Hospital the added value of being able to compare our performance against other hospitals in the province. The hospital values positive and open communication therefore we communicate and celebrate our patient satisfaction scores each month with the public via the hospital’s website and our staff.
