Our Ontarians with Disability Act Plan
Accessibility at the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital
The aim of Accessibility is to identify, remove and prevent barriers to people with disabilities who use the hospital, including patients and their family members, staff, health care practitioners, volunteers and members of the community.
Ontario’s first accessibility standard for customer service came into effect on January 1, 2008
The standard states what businesses and other organizations in Ontario must do to provide their goods and services in ways that are accessible to people with disabilities.
At the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital we are committed to providing respectful care that focuses on the unique needs of the individual. Providing equitable care that respects the dignity and independence of people with disabilities is a priority for the hospital.
The Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital is committed to making our facilities available to all. If you have questions, concerns or comments about access to either of our two sites, please contact the hospital below. Please help us respond to you in the most helpful way by indicating the nature of your accessibility problem, the preferred format in which you want to receive material, and your contact information.
